Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Managing Subscriptions:

You can cancel auto-renewal for your subscription anytime through the Google Play Store. After your current trial or subscription period ends, you will be unsubscribed. You cannot cancel an active subscription. When your subscription expires, you will no longer have access to the included features.
